The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in the areas related to accounting, financial reporting and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position reports to the Accounting Manager, and will participate in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements as well as ensuring that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
• reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• general ledger operations
• prepare journal entries
• fixed asset accounting
• inventory accounting (including cost of goods sold)
• assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• assist with tax computations and preparations of tax returns
• assist in budgets and forecasts
• assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• assist with implementation and maintaining of internal financial controls and procedures

Requirements:
• At least a minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in the accounting/financial reporting area. Relevant experience in a large manufacturing environment is a must.
• Degree in Accountancy (S1); Professional certification (CPA) is a plus.
• Cost accounting experience is a preferred.
• Must be PC proficient and be familiar with Microsoft Excel.
